California Rhinoplasty

Nose surgery, otherwise known as a rhinoplasty, is a procedure that is frequently used to change the appearance, structure and function of the nose. A procedure of this type can re-form an elongated or crooked nose, or provide reconstructive surgery if the nose has been damaged due to sports or an accident.

People have many reasons for seeking a California rhinoplasty.

Many people also have trouble breathing. A nose surgery can also include woth to provide improvements with this. A so-called septoplasty will help improve one's breathing and other procedures can also do this same thing, depending on the cause of the problem.

A rhinoplasty surgery can also include a reduction or increase the size of the nose, change the shape of the tip, or narrow the nostrils. In many cases, this procedure can be customized for each and every patient. When you meet with our Medical Director and nose specialist, you will discuss the concerns you have with your nose. If you suffer from breathing difficulties, this will be discussed in the consultation.

The general time for this procedure is between two to three hours. You will be administered general anesthesia. This means that you are not awake during the surgery. Tiny incisions are then made, usually inside the nose with no skin scarring, which will allow the surgeon to access the underlying nasal structure. The bone and cartilage are reshaped to for the new nose. If you do suffer from breathing issues the surgeon will address these problems while reshaping the nose. You will then spend about two hours in the recovery room. Our nurse will take care of you during that time. Most people have very little discomfort and actually no pain following the procedure.
